Quality Assurance Department

UTAS-A Quality (College Bylaws Article 57, 93 and 94) is a vital part of the UTAS-A’s Mission, effective planning and careful implementation, monitoring and reviewing of plans are essential to the creation of a high quality institution

The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) perceives quality as a trait that should be each staff responsibility. As a debarment   we aid the college in the establishment of proper systems and procedures. Ii t is our responsibility to ensure that day-to-day activities are in line with the requirements of Oman Academic Accreditation Authority OAAA and the National Qualifications Framework in the Sultanate of Oman. The Department supports the College in sustaining high quality in its various approaches to management through continuous   monitoring of the   implementation of policies and procedures and the deployment of different surveys and focus group interviews to get the stakeholders’ satisfaction. To evaluate units’ performance, QAD every month of June conducts internal audit of both departments and committees.

The department also handles the annual report, starting with assessing the achievements of the operational and the strategic plan targets, collecting and analyzing data and ending up with drafting the report. Since we believe that “every job is a reflection of the person who does it’, we try our level of best to instill the culture of quality by modeling, awareness sessions and others.
