UTAS-A Students Secure Second Place in InnoVision Math Quiz and IoT Project Competitions at Arab Open University

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences - Al Musannah (UTAS-A) demonstrated exceptional performance in the InnoVision IoT Project Competition and the Mathematics Quiz Competition hosted by the Arab Open University in Oman on April 25, 2024. Under the guidance of dedicated faculty members and institutional leaders, UTAS-A students showcased outstanding academic prowess and collaborative spirit, resulting in remarkable achievements.

In the Mathematics Quiz Competition, which featured four distinctive rounds encompassing Problem-Solving, Visual Representation, Mathematical Puzzles and Riddles, and Mathematics History and Trivia, UTAS-A students distinguished themselves among 35 competing teams nationwide. Supervised by Ms. Mini Punnolli from the Mathematics Section, the following team secured the second position:

This team exhibited exceptional problem-solving skills and mathematical acumen, earning acclaim for their performance.

Simultaneously, UTAS-A engineering students secured the second position in the InnoVision IoT Project Competition, where 31 teams competed for top honors. 

 

These students' achievements reflect UTAS-A's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation within its student community.

Ms. Rana Tarannum Shaikh from the Mathematics Section played a pivotal role in guiding and supervising two teams in the Mathematics Quiz Competition and accompanying students to the InnoVision event. This collective success underscores UTAS-A's dedication to excellence in academia, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, further reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution.
