ELC Concludes IELTS Preparation Course for the Community
ELCAs part of the community outreach program at UTAS-Al Musannah, the English Language Center (ELC) organized an IELTS Preparation Course aimed at both the internal and external communities. The course, facilitated by ELC lecturers, spanned over three weeks, and included a total of 10 hours of instruction, along with a mock test.
The primary objective of the program was to provide participants with preparation for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination. The course aimed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and strategies to achieve their desired scores on the IELTS test.
Throughout the program, participants received expert guidance from experienced ELC lecturers who are well-versed in the requirements and nuances of the IELTS examination.
The lecturers provided targeted instruction and practice in the four key language skills assessed in the IELTS test: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The 13-hour program allowed for focused instruction and engagement with the content, enabling participants to gain a good understanding of the test format and requirements.
In addition to the instructional hours, the program also included a mock test. This mock test served as a valuable opportunity for participants to simulate the actual IELTS test experience, familiarize themselves with the test conditions, and receive feedback on their performance.
By offering the program to both the internal and external communities, the ELC aimed to support a wide range of individuals who required IELTS preparation. The course was focused on academic IELTS for academic pursuits and professional purposes.
