UTAS-A Holds Annual Gathering

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Al Musannah (UTAS-A) dedicated a special day to celebrate and showcase its appreciation to all the academic and support staff members in a spectacular ceremony on 13 June 2023, that was held in the University Auditorium. The event glimmered from the minute the opening prayers were recited in the auditorium way to the bangs of lucky draws and fun games, which ended the ceremony on a high note.

The program started with a beautiful recitation of the opening prayer by Mr. Saad Al Mushaifiri from the Educational Technical Centre (ETC). Following the recitation, the emcees of the ceremony, Ms. Huria Moosa Al Balushi, from the English Language Centre (ELC) and Mr. Mudhaher Al Ajmi, from the Student Activities and Graduation Department, invited the Dean of UTAS-A, Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed Al Shahri to deliver his welcome speech.

 

 

In his uplifting and inspiring message, Dr. Ahmed welcomed everyone and shared his words of thanks to all guests who took time from their busy schedules to attend the event.

To keep up with the excitement in the auditorium, Mr. Mansoor Al Duhli from the Engineering Department came on stage and left the whole auditorium in great anticipation as he organized fun and interactive activities, which joyously witnessed members of staff from different departments and centres compete.  

 

 

The ceremony saw some staff members who were leaving UTAS-A being awarded and appreciated. The recipients were wonderfully overwhelmed and surprised with the awards they received.  Apart from the awarding ceremony, the staff members were also pleasantly entertained during the prize draws segment, cordially hosted by Ms. Munia Al Farsi from IT department.  

After the celebration, Ms. Huria and Mr. Mudhaher delivered their closing remarks and extended their gratitude to those who came and took part in making the event possible. All guests were then invited to indulge in a lovely lunch buffet organized by the Human Resources Department.
